I'd want to learn more about my environment, so after studying the fog around me for a bit, I'd move through the doorway, since there's not much else to do. I certainly wouldn't move away from the only landmark in sight.

Ok, I can't just let it pass without my why's. I like the fog, and I LOVE the feeling of seeing just a gate or doorway and nothing else. When I was a kid there was a gateway to the field of my school. Foggy days were the coolest because anything could be beyond it, there might be a really cool fantasy world on the other side, or maybe things would stop fading into view and the whole world would end at the gate. I loved the possibilities and not knowing for sure what I'd find. Of course what I found was school, but I could always hope, right?
